Holy weather batman. Yosemite just got hammered with snow… Wawona had about 2 feet of fresh, heavy, wet snow starting from about 10 pm 1/21/10 – noonish 1/22/10. During the night, trees were falling like mad. At 1 am, a tree hit my house… didn’t do too much damage from what we could tell. Then 45 minutes later, several trees fell en masse and completely destroyed our deck… Check out facebook for photos. I’ll try to add some on here.

Anyway… I’m safe, my car is safe… I’m staying with friends here and have heat and generator-driven electricity. Anticipated date for power to come back is the 25th, but I doubt that… the number of trees and powerlines down… crazy. We’ll see. I’m sure I’ll be moving to a different house here as soon as buildings and grounds gets one opened.
