Yeah, so I'm a huge klutz...
X-rays from when I broke my finger

Its not often that one is able to impress a doctor with injuries received. I am proud to say that I, Scott Beason, have attained this, well, not so elite status. February 1999, I was either (depending on the story I told, since I *was* in high school) 1), Getting out of my car; 2) Skiing; or 3), Taking a shower, when I fell, severely breaking my finger. (In case you are wondering, it was #3). In Medical Jargon, it was a "Right, 4th Digit, PIP Fracture". Basically, the far joint in the bone that extends from the hand in the ring finger was broken, rotated around (facing the wrong direction) and otherwise impeding movement in the finger. The pain was quite insane.

So, the NEXT MORNING (note: sense of urgency) I had surgery on it by a doctor who said he had never seen an injury to the finger as bad as mine. Quite impressed I was. It was mostly a success, as I was able to receive some movement in it, but it sits all wrong (ie, it won't get all flat).

Just a few weeks ago (February 2003), I started getting some pain in the finger... SO, I get to go back and have MORE surgery, because one of the three screws that was in residence in my finger decided to misbehave and come back out. I asked for a copy of the X-Rays they took to show everyone who has a twisted urge to see them. The links are below. I must warn you, the image quality is entirely too low, and I have included another picture where I used my graphic skills and drew in the bone :). Enjoy!
