We said yes!

We are the Beezer Team, and what we’ve said yes to is developing more features to spice up your apps and drive your customer engagement through the roof.
We hope you have plenty of time on your hands, because the list of fab new features we’ve released is pretty long! This new set of capabilities will make your app more interesting, more engaging, and more likely to trap your customers in a deep spiral of clicking through your app for hours on end. Let’s take a look:

1. Pop-up boxes
Your app pages are static no longer. At any point in your app, on any page, you can add a pop-up box. Surface it to everyone who goes to the page, or only to logged-in members. Show it multiple times or just once. The choice is yours! And what, you may ask, can you have on said pop-up box? Our feature list is your oyster! Surface surprising, fun media (see point 2 for inspiration), get your users to submit a review, or ask them how they like their eggs cooked. And once you gather that data from them, it’s yours to use how you like (poached egg special, here we come).

2. GIFs
Everyone’s favourite form of media is yours to use! Pop one a page, a pop-up, or a push notification, and bring some fun to your users.

3. Please don’t stop the music!
Now you can add music to your app which plays non-stop – unless your users hit pause – throughout their experience. In fact, if your users are on a device other than an iPhone (Apple persists in pesky restrictions that make them lag behind the times, but that’s a rant for another day), the music will keep on playing even if they minimise the app and go do something else on their phone! That’s right…we’ve just one-upped the YouTube app.

4. Group chat
We’ve heard from a lot of our customers how much they like our user chat functionality, and how they wish their users could have not only 1 on 1 chats, but also connect with each other in groups. Well, our customers’ wish is our command. Groups, chat away!

5. Coming Soon: Engage with SMS
Push notifications are fabulous, but why limit yourself when looking to engage your customers? SMS can be one of the most effective forms of communication, with a whopping 90% open rate. This is especially nice when, as many of you have wisely noted, Apple yet again makes our lives difficult by allowing only in-app notifications on iPhone. We’ve found a way around this issue, and we’re happy to announce that very soon, you’ll have a new option in the “engage” section of your platform – to send SMS messages instead of, or in addition to, push notifications. You’ll even be able to filter by device type if you only want to send SMS to those of your users on iPhone! Of course, for this one to work you’ll have to have the phone numbers of your users – so we’ll be giving you some easy options to request your users’ phone numbers if you choose to go down this road.

Now go make those apps even more brilliant! Happy building!
